Garlic Herb Steak Butter

This garlic butter with thyme, crushed peppercorns and lemon zest is a very versatile and delicious add-on for many different dishes.
It is an ideal steak butter to give your meat that little extra flavor, great for homemade garlic bread to accompany salads, soups or past and makes an excellent quick seasoning for stir-fried vegetables, as well as various types of BBQ meats!

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g butter (room temperature)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed peppercorns
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 6 branches fresh thyme (the leaves)

Instructions

  • Measure the butter and place it in a bowl to let it warm up to room temperature for about 30 minutes
  • Grate the lemon peel until you have the required amount and remove the thyme leaves from the stems. Add the thyme leaves and lemon zest to the butter.
  • Give the ground pepper and salt into the butter mix.
  • Lastly, add the minced garlic and mix all ingredients throughly.

Notes

Storage:
Keep the butter in a sealed container in the fridge. It will last as long as defined on the best before date of your butter.
